Join us for a symposium discussing the history of self emancipated freedom fighters and the journey to Mexico. The program includes:

- Dr. Maria Hammack, Assistant Professor African American History at The Ohio State University
- The National Park Service, National Underground Railroad Network to Freedom
- San Antonio Missions, UNESCO World Heritage Site
- Sandra Ogogor & Jadyn Evans with a presentation on freedom seekers in San Antonio
- Shelby Cook & Roselyn Mena share their ongoing research on an African American cemetery in Atascosa County
