Private Exhibit Tours

Black History is American History!

Private Tours at our exhibit space offer a powerful and engaging way to experience San Antonio’s Black history with your group. Located in a historic 715-square-foot home in La Villita, our intimate museum setting creates a meaningful, up-close experience for every visitor.

Each tour lasts approximately 45 minutes (allow an additional 15 minutes depending on group questions and discussion) and explores our three core exhibits: Civil Rights and Transportation, Their Contributions—Our Legacy an overview of Black diasporic history in San Antonio and South Texas, and our newest exhibition, The Soul of San Antonio, which highlights music and cultural integration across some of the city’s most influential venues.

Accommodations | Costs

We comfortably accommodate up to 15 guests per tour. Larger groups are welcome, and we’re happy to schedule multiple tours to ensure everyone has a quality experience (we recommend no more than three tours per day).
Students are always admitted free of charge. Adult tickets are $25 per person. For groups of students (8 – 18), we also offer an expanded interactive experience that includes an artifact presentation from our archives and a facilitated discussion led by our education department. The expanded private tour is priced at a base rate of $100 plus $25 per adult.
