Learn about the impact of African Americans in the center core of San Antonio. If a scheduled date does not work for you, we can schedule a private charter for you.

Green Book Tours

Travel Back in Time with SAAACAM’s Green Book Tour

Experience San Antonio through the eyes of African American travelers during the Jim Crow era on SAAACAM’s Green Book Negro Motorist and Civil Rights Tour. This guided journey explores the Black-owned businesses and safe havens that once offered refuge, dignity, and community to travelers navigating a segregated nation. From hotels and cafés to beauty shops and service stations, you’ll uncover the places listed in Victor Hugo Green’s famed Negro Motorist Green Book and other travel guides from the 1930s to 1960s.
