SAAACAM 90th Anniversary Green Book Civil Rights Bus Tour – June 2026
Did you know that San Antonio had over 80 Negro Motorist Green Book sites?
Celebrate the 90th Anniversary of the Negro Motorist Green Book with SAAACAM!. Embark on a 2.5-hour journey through San Antonio’s historic East Side neighborhoods with us as we uncover the stories of African American entrepreneurship, resilience, community, and travel. Our trip will begin in St. Paul Square in front of Neko Pilates located at 126 Gonzales St, San Antonio, TX 78205. Loading will begin at 10:30am and departure will be at 11am.
We will travel through history-making stops to the downtown theater district, Dignowity Hills neighborhood, Denver Heights neighborhood, and SAAACAM’s exhibit space. We invite you to be inspired by the legacies of Black brilliance in San Antonio.
Parking is available at varying rates in and around St. Paul Square. PLEASE adhere to all posted parking requirements.
No professional video or photography is allowed on the bus tour without prior approval. The SAAACAM Negro Motorist Green Book Civil Rights Tour is suitable for those able to remain seated for more than 2 hours.
