2019 Fiesta Family Blues Festival

Wheatley Heights Sports Complex 200 Noblewood Drive, San Antonio

The San Antonio African American Community Archive and Museum (SAAACAM) is partnering with the San Antonio Fiesta Commission to present the inaugural Fiesta Family Blues Festival on Friday, April 26, 2019 at the Wheatley Heights Sports Complex from 4-11 p.m. Local favorite, Michael Ward (also known as “the Velvet Violinist”) will headline the performances, showcasing his mastery of the blues violin. Opening entertainment begins at 6:00 p.m. and includes, BillyRay Sheppard, Joe Jama, and The Davidson Brothers. Fiesta Family Blues Festival Free Community Event

The Espee Pavilion 1174 E. Commerce Street, San Antonio

Party with SAAACAM and your friends, learn the history of San Antonio Blues, food trucks, join a drumming circle, tryout instruments, dance to the sounds of a brass band and sing-along with family and friends. Performances include: T-Bow Gonzales Agarita Fort Sam's Own 323D Army Biohazard Brass Band Dan + Claudia Zanes This event is FREE to the public.  Join us immediately following the Battle of the Flowers Parade.

2022 Fiesta Family Blues Festival Fundraiser

The Espee Pavilion 1174 E. Commerce Street, San Antonio

The Keeshea Pratt Band, Soul Man Sam, Raa Raa Zydeco and Eddie and the Allniters ascend on the Pavillon stage for a party unlike no other. Join us at our premiere fundraising event for a hand-clapping, feet-stomping, body-dancing good time! VIP ticket purchasers enjoy a table for six (including the purchaser), an all you can eat buffet, drinks, a private lounge and a meet and greet with performers. TICKETS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. Blues Festival – Carver Matinee Series

Carver Community Cultural Center 226 N. Hackberry, San Antonio

SAAACAM in partnership with The Carver Community Cultural Center is pleased to present the Musician with a Message, SaulPaul to the stage of the Jo Long Auditorium at the Carver. SaulPaul infuses, folk, hip-hop and fun to deliver a message of hope, power and joy to young audiences of all ages.  This event is free and open to the public.  Registration is required through Eventbrite.
