DESCRIPTION:Did you know that San Antonio had over 80 Negro Motorist Green Book sites? \nCelebrate the 90th Anniversary of the Negro Motorist Green Book with SAAACAM!.  Embark on a 2.5-hour journey through San Antonio’s historic East Side neighborhoods with us as we uncover the stories of African American entrepreneurship\, resilience\, community\, and travel. Our trip will begin at the Brackenridge Parking Garage at 3501 Avenue B. There is no cost for parking. Please arrive at 3501 Avenue B\, 30-45 minutes prior to the bus’s departure. We will travel through historic stops to the downtown theater district\, the Dignowity Hills neighborhood\, the Denver Heights neighborhood\, St. Paul Square\, and SAAACAM’s exhibit space. \n\nParking is available at the Brackenridge Parking Garage at 3501 Avenue B. There is no cost for parking. We will leave promptly at 11:00 am\, so please be ready to board the bus at 10:30 am.\n\nNo professional video or photography is allowed on the bus tour without prior approval. The SAAACAM Negro Motorist Green Book Civil Rights Tour is suitable for those able to remain seated for more than 2 hours. \nRegistration is required.
