SAAACAM Oral History Techniques Training (Open to the Public)

Join us for our Oral History Techniques Training on October 25, 2019 at the Bexar BiblioTech East! 


Historians from the San Antonio African American Community Archive and Museum (SAAACAM) and the University of North Carolina are coming together to provide oral history techniques training to SAAACAM volunteers, the organization’s members as well as the general public in an effort to grow the collection of oral histories of persons residing in the San Antonio area. 




Interested participants are encouraged to register to attend in advance to secure a seat for the training. This event is free of charge.


This training is available at two different times on Friday, October 25: 


1. Training between 10am-Noon, 


AND (repeated) 


2. Training between 6pm-7:45pm. 




Everyone is encouraged to participate in SAAACAM’s Oral History Techniques Training to better collect their own personal family histories and to become better oral historians and story-tellers.
