May Black History Film Series – High Risk

May 9 @ 5:30 pm - 9:00 pm

The doors to The Little Carver open at 5:30pm, and the film begins at 6pm.

“HIGH RISK”, a documentary film written and produced locally by Dr. Nicole Carr and Born Logic Allah, addresses the high maternal mortality rate of Black women in the United States. The film explores natural methods and best practices proven to protect Black mothers from prenatal to postpartum care. The ultimate goal of the documentary is to empower Black women through education, making them aware of numerous strategies to use with confidence to advocate for themselves and their babies.

Immediately following the film, join us for the lively panel discussion. Brought to you in part by Humanities Texas.

ADMISSION IS FREE, BUT REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED!
