Dr. Debbie Vera

Dr. Debbie Vera taught at Texas A&M University-San Antonio for thirteen years and held the position of Department Chair for three years. Her teaching interests included early childhood, curriculum and instruction, and multicultural education. Her research involved early literacy, curriculum, culturally responsive teaching, and educator advocacy. Her graduate coursework at Texas A&M University – College Station, where she received her terminal degree, consisted of multicultural education history, culturally responsive teaching, and multicultural curriculum. She recently retired from the university but continues to write. Her current interest encompasses the history of Indigenous and Black people in the United States for children in the elementary years.

Dr. Sunita Punjabi

Founder of the Brain Science Symposium for the City of San Antonio, Dr. Sunita Punjabi is known as the “Brain Coach”. Currently practicing in the Medical Center, where she is doing research and is assisting people to create “a cause-driven life”. Dr. Sunita uses neuro integration technology and psychology to help individuals experience the mental transformation that can be measured at the neurological level.
