Our 2025 Legacy Awards Ball is fast approaching!
The Legacy Ball is a vital component of our ongoing sustainment efforts to collect, preserve and share the African American cultural heritage of the San Antonio region. This event not only provides a unique platform for individuals and businesses to come together in support of a noble cause but also offers a wonderful opportunity to make a positive impact in our community.
The evening’s festivities will celebrate “Black Excellence”. You will enjoy food stations provided by San Antonio’s premier Black chefs, Black-owned beverage options, a live auction and dancing with the Finding Friday band. This is an occasion to wear your finest threads AND your dancing shoes. We are dedicated to ensuring that our guests have an unforgettable experience while contributing to a cause that truly matters.
This year we honor five San Antonio legends with the following awards
- The Jo Long Legacy Award in Performing Arts
- The Eugene Coleman Legacy Award in Journalism
- The Elizabeth T. Wrenn Legacy Award in Primary and Secondary Education
- The Reverend Claude E. Black Jr. Legacy Award in Social Activism
- The Artemisia Bowden Legacy Award in Higher Education
